CIVIC NEWS - Corrected 10/30/24
The Civic Association Election is coming up in January and we have 5 positions open: President, Vice President, Treasurer and Directors of Rentals and Real Estate.  Votes determine which nominees are elected, but who is assigned to the open positions is determined by the entire board after the election.
 
The Board has a process for each position to ensure consistent performance from year to year.  You don't need to have experience on any previous boards, just a willingness to give a few hours each month.  There is a lot of texting and emails, so those skills will help.
 
President - Lead the board, main contact with local government officials - position open
Vice-President - Lead in the absence of the President, Welcome Package - position open
Treasurer - Control the monetary aspects - position open
Secretary - Minutes, Membership, update website
Director of Rentals - work with rentals and submit monthly report - position open
Director of Real Estate - work with realtors and submit monthly report - position open
Director of Governance - Receive and address complaints, submit monthly report
 
If you are interested or know someone that would be good for our community, please contact any board member and we will get a nomination form for you, once filled out, it will be shared with members for consideration.  To vote in this election you must be a Civic Association member for 2025.  Membership sign-up will begin in October.
